Tasting Notes Explanation

Our tasting notes are just our notes--none of us have the palate to write a Dave Broom style review. We'll do our best to write  honest notes that describe what we are tasting.  As in all whiskey reviews, your mileage may vary and ultimately we are just a bunch of dudes who like bourbon. Palates and preferences change over time, so we might revisit bourbons from time to time.  We will use the standard 100 point scale:

95 - 100 A Classic Whiskey
90 - 94 Excellent Whiskey
85 - 89 Very good whiskey, above average
80 – 84 Good whiskey, average
75 – 79 Fair Whiskey
Below 74 Poor whiskey
